Tudor Revival

Katharine Mott designed and built the house in 1929.  Mott was not a formally trained architect, but she is credited with designing and building a handful of houses in Houston between 1927-1930.  This made her a pioneer as in that period of time there were only a few if any women involved in home building and designing.  Her houses are relevant and admired today due to their quality, architectural style and Mrs. Mott’s hallmark.  BL took on a total refurbishment of the gardens from 2004-06.  Careful attention was taken to create gardens that evoked the era of the house’s origin while providing a modern and useful outdoor space for our clients.
